We had an amazing time with Mike! We caught a bunch of Peacock Bass, Largemouth Bass, and even some Catfish. Mike was incredibly helpful and made sure we had plenty of time to fish during our trip. I highly recommend him as a guide for the Lake Ida region.

I gave Captain Mike's charter a 5-star rating, the highest possible, because the ratings don't go any higher. I highly recommend this charter to anyone looking to catch exotic fish. Mike met me in the morning with a boatload of bait ready to go. We quickly reached our first spot and started catching Peacock Bass. We tried to keep track of how many we caught but lost count after (I think) 12 in the first hour. By the end of the day, we had caught around 50 Peacock Bass, 4 or 5 Mayan cichlids, a few largemouth bass, 1 gar, and finished with a 6-pound snakehead. We were consistently on fish all day, and whenever the bite slowed down, Mike had another great spot lined up. I don't think you'll find anyone who knows the water better or can put you on fish faster than Mike.

This morning, my dad and I went fishing with Captain Mike and caught over 20 fish in just two hours. We learned a lot about the lake and had such a great time that we're definitely planning to go fishing with him again. I highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a fun time and great fishing experience.

Captain Mike was fantastic with the kids, and we all had a blast. It was the best charter I've ever been on. Mike is knowledgeable and will teach you everything you need to know. We're definitely planning to do it again.

We had a fantastic trip and caught at least four different species: Largemouth Bass, Peacock Bass, Cichlid, and Clown Knife Fish. Captain Mike worked hard for both me and my little one, and we caught a lot of fish. I highly recommend this experience.
